Miral Sattar is a mom of three, media and audience strategist, and creator of Bearily Bear Reimagined Fairy Tales.
Bearily Bear began at bedtime, when Miral found herself rewriting the fairy tales she was reading to her children as she went. She wanted the characters her kids heard about to be clever, confident, culturally diverse, and capable of solving their own problems.
Those bedtime rewrites eventually became Bearily Bear, a 4x award-winning children’s storytelling podcast with millions of listens from families around the world.
Miral has spent more than 15 years working across media, technology, and audience development. Her work and writing have appeared in outlets including TIME, BBC, Fortune, CNN, The New York Times, and Consumer Reports.
As Co-President of Kids Listen, Miral works to grow the children’s audio ecosystem, support independent creators, and help more families discover high-quality, screen-free stories and podcasts for kids.
