Hana Baba is an award-winning radio journalist- host of "Crosscurrents"- the daily newsmagazine of NPR station KALW Public Radio in San Francisco.
Hana is also co-hosts and co-creator of the award-winning and podcast The Stoop, which tells stories from across the Black diaspora. Her work also appears on NPR, PRI, BBC, TED and more.
A daughter of Sudanese immigrants, she explores intersectionality, and the rich and varied life experiences within African diaspora communities.
Her work has won awards by the San Francisco Press Club , the Society of Professional Journalists - Northern California, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Religion News Association and she was recognized as a Bay Area African Cultural Icon by the California Assembly.
She lectures on radio and podcasting and speaks at industry conferences such as Third Coast Audio Fest, NABJ, PodFest, PodThon, She Podcasts and more.
