The Past and The Curious: A History Podcast for Kids and Families [Mick Sullivan]
Mick Sullivan created The Past and The Curious in 2016 and it is both a privilege and a labor of love. Since the beginning, many friends have joined the fun. We create the show in between family, work, gigs, and the many other commitments we’ve all got in our lives. We really think people will find value and joy in what we do, and no one else is doing something quite like it – so we create.
Maybe someday The Past and The Curious will help us earn a living, instead of costing our discretionary income. But more importantly, maybe you will enjoy it and share that excitement about the past with others.

Mick Sullivan is a writer, musician, audio creator, museum educator and curator in Louisville, Kentucky.
Through writing the monthly episodes, Mick has developed a deep body of unusual stories from history, each marrying a quirky sense of humor, a strong, clear understanding of context, real history, solid research, and an engaging delivery.
Mick is the former chair co-chair of Kids Listen, an international children’s audio advocacy group, and works at the Frazier History Museum, where his education and curatorial duties include developing content for students and the public, as well as writing and developing special exhibits, and creating multi-media. He is also a founding board member of Starduck Charities, a group who has served the residents of St. Joseph’s Children’s home for over 10 years.
He has also played in a number of bands, including Fire the Saddle, The Town Criers, Slow Charleston, and the still-active group Squeeze-bot.
